dresses to bloomers to high-tech modern synthetic fabrics, the history of
women’s clothing worn for athletics has pitted progress in movement against
cultural norms since the nineteenth century. This talk will focus on the
history and cultural perspective of women’s fashion in society and athletics
from the 1800s to the present.
