Please join us on Monday, October 21st from noon to 2pm in the Moakley Auditorium for a screening of the documentary, "The Destruction of Memory," by filmmaker Tim Slade, about how millennia of culture are being destroyed due to conflicts in Syria and Iraq. This event will be followed on Wednesday, October 23rd at noon in the Moakley Auditorium by another film screening, of the film "Blood Buddhas," followed by a panel discussing the issues raised in both films. The panel will include Dr. Allison Cuneo from MIT, and Katie A. Paul, co-director of the ATHAR Project. This event is co-sponsored by the department of Anthropology, Center for Middle East Studies, and Asian Studies for Massachusetts Archaeology Month.
