Aqui Estamos, Here We Are. The Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program presents a lecture by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Jose Galvez on Monday, September 17, from 1:50-3:05 pm in the Heritage Room of the Maxwell Library. A Hispanic Heritage Month event.

"For over 40 years, José Galvez has used black and white film to create a powerful and unparalleled historical record of the Latino experience in America. His compelling work, done with respect, pride and no pretense, captures the beauty of daily life. His photographs have been exhibited in museums and galleries here and abroad, including the Smithsonian. But more often, you’ll find him toting portable exhibits to schools, libraries, fiestas, lowrider shows, and rodeos."

Photographs by Mr. Galvez will be on display. The event is open to the BSU community and the public.
