NEW AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES MINOR LAUNCH PARTY! FEBRUARY 8th 3:30-6:30 p.m. Library Heritage Room
Come celebrate the launch of a brand new minor in
African American Studies with food, music, and compelling speakers. Come for
the whole time or just part of the time!
4:00 Dr. Brandon Terry of the African and African
American Studies faculty at Harvard will give a talk entitled, “Black Studies
Now: The Promise and Provocation of African American Political Thought.”
5:30 Gloria Stanton, M.Ed., C.A.G.S, a founding
member of BSU's Afro-American Alumni Association, will give a talk entitled “Black
History Education, Then and Now."
