On Thursday, November 16 from 5-7 pm, the Canadian Studies Council will present Un Rêve Américain (An American Dream), the Fall 2017 entry in the Canadian Studies Film Series.

A 2013 documentary by Bruno Boulianne and Claude Godbout, Un Rêve Américain features Franco-Ontarian musician Damien Robitaille. With a duffle bag, a guitar, his passport, and his car, he takes us on a journey to discover the history of the 11 million Americans of French Canadian heritage--more than in all of Canada. Robitaille drives to French-speaking communities across the U.S., meeting descendants of French-Canadians, and visiting places important to both their history and their heritage.

Un Rêve Américain is open to the BSU community and the public. Co-sponsored by American Studies. Part of International Education Week.
