 On Wednesday, November 15 from 3:15-4:45 pm, the Minnock Institute for Global Engagement will present Gender and Identity Politics: Cross-Cultural Perspectives, Visiting Scholar Talks with Dr. Imani Tafari-Ama and Dr. Yongmei Wu, in the Maxwell Library Lecture Hall, Room 013.

A Fulbright Scholar in Residence in Anthropology, Dr. Tafari-Ama's subject will be "Notions of Beauty and Sexuality in Black Communities." A Visiting Professor in Anthropology and Asian Studies, Dr. Wu's subject will be "Asian Modernity: Images of New Women in Chinese and Japanese Calendar Posters of the 1920s and 30s." 

Sponsored by Global Learning, with Asian Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies, the event is open to the BSU community and the public. Part of International Education Week.
