The Minnock Institute for Global Engagement and the Center for Sustainability will present a lecture by the Honorable Jacqueline Amongin, MP Uganda--African Union and UN Sustainable Development Goals--on March 26 from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Heritage Room of the Maxwell Library.

A BSU Mandela Fellow in 2017, Ms. Amongin was awarded the Mandela Women Leadership Prize that same year for her "actions towards social justice and valuable achievements in community change." She is a founder of the Jacqueline Amongin Development Foundation (formerly the Hope Foundation). JADEF is a non-governmental organization targeting educational, health, and agricultural improvements in the social economic status of vulnerable groups, especially women and needy children in Uganda.

The event is open to the BSU community and the public.
