Fighting Words: Literature, Music, and the Construction of Irish Nationalism

Join the Irish Studies Program for a lecture by Kevin Kidd, Dean of the Maxwell Library, in the Rondileau Student Union Small Ballroom, Room 206B.

Kevin Kidd is dean of the Maxwell Library at Bridgewater State University and a PhD student at Simmons University. He has worked for more than 25 years in academic and research libraries and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from La Salle University, a Master of Arts in Irish Literature from Boston College, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University. Previously, Kevin was director of the library at Wentworth Institute of Technology and head of technology for the Boston College University Libraries. He has deep experience in library administration, space planning, technology, software development, and system design and implementation. Kevin is also the vice president of the Board of Directors of the Ames Free Library in Easton, Massachusetts and is the past president of the Fenway Library Organization.

The event is open to the BSU community and the public. Classes are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.
