On Thursday, February 25 from 12:30-2 p.m., Global Programs will present the first event in the International Issues Series--Iraq’s Fragility in 2021: The Current Situation, Challenges, and Strategic Comprehensive Responses, a virtual panel with H.E. Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq, Former Deputy Minister of Iraq; Dr. Munqith Dagher, CEO and founder of the Independent Institute
of Administration and Civil Society Studies (IIACSS); and the Honorable Hanaa Edwar, Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Iraqi Al-Amal Association and Co-Founder of the Iraqi Women’s Network.

Organized by Global Programs of the Dr. Edward W. Minnock Institute for Global Engagement, the International Issues Series aims to address international issues that transcend national boundaries and provide a forum for informed discussion of political, economic, cultural, and social challenges around the world.

The event is open to the BSU community and the public. Sponsored by Global Programs, the Middle East & North Africa Studies Program (MENA), and the Division of Academic Affairs, with the support of the U.S. Department of Education.
