Join the Irish Studies Program on Monday, March 18 from 1:50 to 3:30 p.m. in Dunn Conference Suite, Room A, for Dr. Aileen Dillane, University of Limerick: Sounding Out Faith, Feminism, and Irishness in the Musical Life of Shuhada Davitt (fka Sinéad O'Connor).

Dr. Dillane is an Ethnomusicologist, Irish music specialist, and Popular Music scholar with research interests in ethnicity, identity, nationalism and cosmopolitanism in the traditional and popular musics of Ireland, UK, North America, and Australia.  

Following her talk, Dr. Dillane will be joined by local musicians Cathy Clasper-Torch, Sheila Falls, and Mike Fischman for an Irish music session.

The event is open to the BSU community and the public. Faculty are welcome to bring their classes. Refreshments will be available.
